READ THE FEEDBACK

How do Worldle's distance and direction arrows work?

Every wrong guess provides three related clues: a distance, a compass direction and a proximity percentage. The arrow points broadly from your guessed location toward the target. The distance tells you how large the move should be. Read them together: a northeast arrow with a short distance suggests nearby countries in that quadrant, while several thousand kilometers demands a change of region or continent.

The official FAQ says distances are measured between the centers of locations. That explains why two countries with a shared border can still look surprisingly far apart when one of them is large. The arrow is also a broad compass category, not a precise route. Use a second guess to test your interpretation, then return to the silhouette when only a few nearby candidates remain.

"After each guess arrows and numbers will be your direction and distance clues."

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Worldle archive FAQ

01What is today's Worldle answer?

Open the spoiler panel on this page only when you are ready. The date and puzzle number are shown beside the reveal so you can confirm that it matches your local game.

02Why can my Worldle day differ from this page?

The official game says a new puzzle appears at midnight in the player's local time zone. During the rollover, two players in different time zones can be on different days.

03How many guesses does Worldle allow?

The standard country round currently allows six guesses.

04What does the Worldle arrow mean?

It points in the broad direction from the center of your guessed place toward the center of the answer.

05What does the distance measure?

The official FAQ says the distance is measured between the centers of the guessed and target locations, not between their nearest borders.

06Can the answer be a territory?

Yes. Worldle uses countries and territories, which is why an island or overseas territory can appear in the archive.

07Can I replay an old Worldle?

The official archive is available through Teuteuf Passport. CasualAtlas lists verified answers for reference but does not recreate the publisher's playable archive.

08Is Worldle the same as Wordle?

No. Worldle is a geography game about silhouettes, direction and distance. Wordle is a letter puzzle.
